    Update: Our Partnership with Saint-Gobain

Today, we at The Bailey Group of Companies (Bailey Metal Products, Bailey Metal Processing, and Agway Metals) begin the next chapter in our story, as we close our acquisition with Saint-Gobain North America. As leaders in light and sustainable construction, with a Purpose of Making the World a Better Home, we can think of no better partner to continue our work to provide Canadian-made metal framing and building solutions to our customers.

By partnering with Saint-Gobain North America, Bailey will continue to play a leading role in the Canadian construction industry. Alongside other Saint-Gobain Canada businesses CertainTeed Canada, Kaycan, and Building Products of Canada, we will bring a full portfolio of building solutions, both interior and exterior to our customers from the Maritimes to British Columbia.

From its founding by Sam Bailey in 1950 to today, Bailey has been dedicated to quality service, exceeding customer expectations and operating with integrity. That will continue over the coming days, weeks and years. Even with the acquisition complete, the day-to-day experience won’t change for our employees or customers, and we will still operate in the market as Bailey. We can assure you that our drive to provide quality, sustainable products and excellent customer service will continue. We look forward contributing and being a part of the Saint-Gobain team and working together to create the future of the building materials industry in Canada.

  • Season of Giving

    by lucy nguyen | Jan 20, 2021

Looking back at 2020, one of our favorite traditions is that of giving back to our local communities. The COVID-19 pandemic affected the food bank and charitable sector heavily, impacting supply lines, affecting donation levels and increasing demand. Hospitals and the health care sector have also been overwhelmed and require more support than ever. We believe Canadians should never go hungry and should always have access to health care, especially during the holiday season. In moments like these, it was natural for Bailey to come together and help our fellow Canadians. The Bailey family made a generous donation of $5000 to various charities across Canada, some of which we have highlighted below:

    Food Bank Donation

    Edmonton Food Bank

Since 1981 the Edmonton Food Bank has served the Edmonton Community, helping over 20,000 people each month. They work to eliminate hunger and ensure citizens have access to an adequate and nutritious supply of food. Learn how you can help at

    backpack buddies

    Backpack Buddies

Backpack Buddies are dedicated to ensuring the most vulnerable children have access to food. Many children rely heavily on school meal programs but over the weekend may not eat at all until school starts again on Monday. B.C. has one of the highest child poverty rates in Canada. An astounding 1 in 5 children is living below the poverty line. Backpack Buddies' goal is to reduce child hunger by supporting 16 school districts and dozens of neighborhoods across the province. December 8, 2020 - Calgary donation

    Seniors Secret Service

Since 1985, the mission of the Seniors Secret Service has been to enhance the quality of life, and bring cheer to individuals 60 years or older, who are alone or isolated in the Calgary community. Bailey is pleased to donate and support such a wonderful organization! Learn how you can help at

    Concord Donation

    Food Bank of York Region

Since 2011 The Food Bank of York Region serves over 75 community food pantries, social service agencies and social housing in the York Region. Its mission is to alleviate food insecurity and hunger in the York region. Learn how you can help at

    Burlington Food Bank

    Burlington Food Bank

Bailey Metal Processing is proud to donate and support the Burlington Food Bank. Since 1991 they have served the Burlington community by serving nutritious meals in a dignified and timely manner. Learn how you can help at

    Opération Enfant Soleil.

Established in 1988, Opération Enfant Soleil raises funds to develop high-quality pediatrics for all the children in Quebec. Learn how you can help at

It is heartwarming to see our neighbors, family and friends helping each other during the holiday season. We encourage you to donate, support, and volunteer if you have the time at your local food bank or hospital.

  • Pre-fabricated ComSlab® and LSF Project in Kingsville, ON

    by lucy nguyen | Dec 07, 2018

In Kingsville, Ontario a project was recently erected using Comslab and BAILEY LSF by Amico Infrastructures through their A-Lynx division. The exterior walls from levels 3 to 8 are prefabricated off-site to the level of exterior finish. Usually, exterior walls on LSF buildings are prefabricated to exterior sheathing only, and the finish, be it brick, EIFS or other cladding types, is finished on site once the superstructure is finished being erected. Ron Stang at Daily Commercial News covered the partnership in an article, read an excerpt below:
"The new five-storey-plus penthouse condo on the town of Kingsville’s Lake Erie waterfront had its load-bearing walls installed so quickly there were virtually no exposed ones left to showcase during a recent tour.

Windsor, Ont.’s A-LINX Building Technologies, an affiliate of the better known Amico Infrastructures, installed the factory-built walls, roughly 90 panels per floor, in just under three months.

That’s about 35 percent faster than had a traditional construction method been used, such as steel post and beam or hollow core precast on masonry walls.

A-LINX, which began operations a couple of years ago and is honing its business edge on the off-site assembly of light gauge cold-rolled steel framed load-bearing walls, now has five buildings in its portfolio, with projects like retirement homes and condos located from Windsor to Cambridge."
